Dr. McNeal was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on September 22, 1967, and raised in Eden, North Carolina. In 1985, he graduated from John Motley Morehead High School. He received his bachelor's degree in administration from North Carolina A&T State University in 1990. He worked in J.P Stevens Anderson, SC from 1990 to 1993, then proceeded to NC A&T State University for background coursework from 1993 to 1995, and then to Meharry Medical College for his dental degree. He received his DDS in General Dentistry from the Class of 1999. Dr. McNeal completed a residency program in GPF at Veterans Affairs in Dayton, Ohio from 1999 to 2000, where he had the chance to practice all aspects of dentistry as well as gain extensive training in endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. He worked at Medicaid Dental Center from 2000 to 2001 before opening his own dental office on August 13, 2001 as Herbert L. McNeal Jr. DDS, PLLC. He appreciates the family-oriented environment and the variety of patients. Learning about different cultures, according to him, demonstrates that we share more similarities than differences. His interests include farming, car maintenance, breeding South African Mastiffs, riding motorcycles, traveling, and reading.

Sandra, our office manager, leads the team at Dr. Herbert McNeal DDS. She arrived in the United States from Colombia in 1999 and has since obtained National Certification for Dental Assisting in addition to pursuing a Business Administration degree. With her guidance and the expertise of the rest of our staff, we aim to provide top-tier dental care to our patients.

Our team at Dr. Herbert McNeal's office is made up of highly skilled, compassionate individuals with a passion for dentistry. Amy, our dental assistant, hails from Nicaragua and has been in the industry since 2000. Her hobbies include crafting and spending time with her furry friend, Oreo.

Cynthia joined our office in October of 2016 and has since been an integral part of our team. Her passion for patient education is truly inspiring, and she has the ability to empower patients to take control of their dental health.
